Cardiovascular disease accounts for 29% of deaths in the whole world and is the leading cause of mortality ahead of infectious diseases and cancers. Half of this mortality is due to heart failure which is often secondary or aggravated by potentially reversible electrical diseases. The other half occurs suddenly, essentially due to ventricular tachyarrhythmias similar to electrical tornados.
