A postdoctoral fellowship is available for a talented physical organic chemist working in the area of perovskite materials. The project involves the synthesis and characterization of organic compounds suitable to be used in engineering the work function of the hybrid lead triiodide perovskite material to be used in solar cells or electroluminescent devices. This is expected to reduce the charge carrier surface recombination and thus improve the performance of the devices. The ideal candidate should have some previous experience on fabricating perovskite devices and be able to perform basic synthetic organic chemistry. In exchange, the candidate will have access to a fully equipped organic chemistry laboratory for the synthesis and characterization of the material and to state of the art facilities for manufacturing and characterizing the devices. Part of the work may be carried out in the ElorPrintTech platform for organic electronics. The expected duration of the fellowship is 12 months which may be renewed once.

Candidate’s profile

For this study, a molecular chemist or material scientist is expected. Good experimental skills are also required.

Starting date:

Post doctorate position is opened until May 2017. The position will be kept open until filled by a suitable candidate.

2 300 €/month (neto)

Localisation: The candidate will be located at the ISM laboratory at the University of Bordeaux, France. He/She will be working in strong collaboration with the IMS and LCPO laboratories.
